Air Plant Care Instructions:
Light: Keep your air plant in bright, filtered light. In or near a window is perfect. They are happy in direct sunlight in a window indoors. Air plants prefer to be indoors year round unless you live in a tropical area where they live naturally.
Water: Air plants that are growing indoors like to be misted until the leaves drip a couple times a week. Twice a month or so, soak plant in room temperature to cool tap, spring, or rain water. Submerge leaves entirely for 30 minutes to an hour and shake excess water and let dry. Never let your air plant stand in water for extended periods of time due to rot potential. After soaking your plant, turn it upside down and let it dry for about an hour before putting it back in the window.
Food: If you want a really healthy plant give your air plant some fertilizer. Make sure to use air-plant safe fertilizer. You can easily find this online here. One brand is TillyBoost. Follow the instructions they provide.
Temperature: Keep your air plant comfortable. Never let it get colder than 50 degrees F.
Decorations: If your plant is connected to a display that has crystals on it, refrain from getting the crystals wet. Plants are removable.
